Can I get a free update of slideshow image gallery new version?

Q: I recently received an email about a discount on wowslider and I've really been on the fence about purchasing it. What I wanted to email you about are two questions I had:
I see that wowslider is 3.9, is 4.0 on the horizon? Should I wait?
If I purchase today and 4.0 drops, do I get a free update to 4 or do I have to pay an upgrade price?

I'd love to purchase this today, but am skeptical that my purchase will be be a version back when 4.0 is available and I'd have to spend more money.
